First énergie SHOKK franchise sold

The first new énergie SHOKK youth fitness franchise has been sold to Mickey Mellon, an ex-professional footballer from Paisley, Renfrewshire.

Mellon and his wife Jane have now identified a suitable location in Blackpool and hope to open their site early in the New Year.

He played professional football for a number of clubs including Bristol City, West Bromwich Albion, Blackpool and Tranmere Rovers.

Both qualified fitness instructors, the two of them have been running their own personal training business for the last three years.

The énergie Group now operates 32 sites and reportedly has a pipeline of over 30 investors financially committed and looking for sites.

Jan Spaticchia, CEO, said: "The énergie SHOKK franchise is our latest product to launch and we will add a number of others in the next twelve months."
